Your "numbers" tell a story. And how they trend can forecast what's to come. The numbers give you insights on what's happening in your body - sometimes long before you "feel" any symptoms or have a chronic lifestyle disease, like Type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, or some types of cancer.
I’m Michelle Lappin, an integrative nutrition health and life coach specializing in helping women improve and "correct" the numbers --- that is, their blood pressure, waist circumference, blood sugar, HDL cholesterol, and triglycerides.
______
Here we focus on improving the quality of your life through nutrition and lifestyle change while you watch your body and health transform. Here you'll find the tools and support to overcome challenges you thought were insurmountable.
______
Health coaching can be a stand-alone preventative strategy OR it can be combined with medical interventions (with your doctor's approval, of course), helping you get better health outcomes and maybe even making a clean break from the most frequently prescribed chronic disease medications.
______
Here we focus on eating a nutrient-dense fiber-rich diet, moving our bodies in ways that help us live independently for a long time, and prioritizing good sleep and relaxation --- NOT on pseudo-science, pills, potions, or hacks.
_____
If you're feeling stuck or frustrated by changes in your health, know that I've been there too—and you don’t have to settle. I've navigated these challenges myself, emerging stronger each time. Now, I guide women like you through transformation.
The good news is, it's never too late to make a significant impact. You can take control now and increase your health span (the quality of your years).
_____
There are a few different ways to work with me, depending on how much support you need. Check out the options here.

Michelle Lappin | Health & Life Coach
_____
Michelle transitioned from a 30-year career in senior corporate leadership roles to follow what she saw as a much more meaningful - and in many ways, more important career - helping women have better outcomes in life through structured lifestyle change.
_____
Her journey in health and wellness began in 2007 when she faced some health challenges of her own and got really curious about how lifestyle might impact how she felt since conventional medicine offered no answers. That curiosity, along with the changes she noticed as she implemented changes to her nutrition, exercise, and overall lifestyle, led her to become a yoga & fitness instructor and a personal trainer, later expanding into nutrition, lifestyle, and health coaching.
___
She has been educated at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, the T. Colin Campbell Plant-Based Nutrition program @eCornell, the American College of Lifestyle Medicine's Food as Medicine Essentials program, and has a voracious appetite for expanding her expertise in the field through continuing education. But all the education is secondary to the experience of walking the talk of all the things she teaches in her programs.
_____
A former board member and president of Dress for Success Maine, Michelle has also coached women at Fresh Start for Women and contributed to various leadership and arts organizations.
_____
Michelle’s philosophy is health-first—believing that optimal well-being fuels success in all areas of life.
_____
She lives near the coast in southern Maine with her husband, enjoying time with their blended family of six adult children.
